Wine Country- Introducing 2015 Pantone Color of the Year, Marsala

Named after the Italian city in Sicily, Marsala is described by Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman as a "color that would enrich the mind, body and soul". Its concentrated, earthy hue is widely used in fashion, makeup and home furnishings.

Marsala's tone is reminiscent of a rich full body red wine, which provokes a warm and cozy feeling in the home. We suggest applying this color on a leather chair and ottoman in the study, in a focal art piece over the sofa or as an accent wall in the dining room.
